Standard Motor Vehicle Insurance


WHAT CAN INSURED?
Two-wheel motor vehicles (motorcycles, scooters) four or more wheeled vehicles (sedans, minibuses, jeeps, trucks) including accessories or additional equipment attached to the vehicle.






WHAT ARE THE RISKS ARE GUARANTEED?
According to the Indonesian Automotive Standards Policy, published by the Insurance Council of Indonesia, these policies cover loss or damage to vehicles caused among others by: collision, collision, including the inverted result from defects in materials, construction defect itself; transgressions of others; theft including theft preceded or accompanied by violence or threats; fire, lightning strikes; damage during the vehicle crossing a ferry run by the Directorate General of Land Transportation; damage to wheels that result in accidents, the cost of the crane.

Given the risk of riots or strikes, and the like are not guaranteed in standard risk, if interested then you have to ask for extension of coverage for this risk. If not, then the damage or loss caused by riots or strikes will not be guaranteed.

Based on the type of closure or scope of cover, motor insurance has two types of closure. The first closure is no guarantee or Losses Total Total Loss Only, and the second closing was the Comprehensive guarantee.

Total Loss Guarantee means that if the vehicle is stolen or in an accident in which a vehicle repair costs forecasted at least 75 percent of the price of the vehicle.

Comprehensive Warranty to guarantee almost the same total loss only no minimum repair cost estimates.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS ARE NOT GUARANTEED?


No insurance can ensure that all risk of motor vehicle, even if the closing conditions are Comprehensive (formerly called All Risk). The risks are not guaranteed to be defined clearly in terms of policy, such as: loss of profits during the vehicle can not be used due to accidents, losses due to fraud; loss or damage to non-standard or optional equipment that is not mentioned in the summary of the policy; due to misconduct committed by the insured or the insured's family, vehicles used for driving lessons or a race or a carnival, or crime; kelebihanmuatan; driver does not have a driver's license or violating traffic laws; cargo in your vehicle; due to natural disasters or wars and the like.


ANYONE WHO NEEDS THIS PRODUCT?

Any individual or business entity that has an interest in the insured motor vehicle such as owner, tenant, bank or financial institution lending.


WHAT FACTORS AFFECTING THE RATE PREMIUMS?

Major premium is determined by two main factors.
1. Extensive warranties, whether comprehensive or total loss.
2. The use of a vehicle, whether for personal interest or rent.
Especially for trucks, the amount of premium is determined by the capacity haulage trucks. For certain cases other factors may also affect the premium is a record of previous losses and the age of the vehicle.

HOW TO CALCULATE INSURANCE PREMIUMS?

Premiums are generally calculated for one year (12 months) with the formula:

Total Sum Insured (jup) * x rate premium per year (per cent).

* Jup is the market price of the vehicle to be insured.
